Either I am dumb or there is no link to the actual product in your post. Yeah right, I can use Google myself (doing this right now), but when you write about it, link it too :)

Nevertheless, thanks for sharing.

Well, what can I tell. I just share some of my experience. I wouldn't say customers support takes too much time is the product was properly designed(btw flashmint handles all support issues). But as for the commission rates you are absolutely right, they are a bit unfair if the portal just handles only payment processing and advertising.

Sounds all very good. But it certainly isn't.

At a closer look inside these portals all the magic disappears. Even if you are a developer and want to make a life with your work. Mostly they earn more than 50 percent for your hard work of developing and support. Thereby they merely provide the payment service and do some minor publishing stuff. They even decide whether they want publish your stuff or not in most cases - delaying the approvement process for days and weeks. Finally they often have such unprofessional implemented payment systems (in case of flashcomponents.net), that you have to fight with up to 30 percent fraud (tendency drastically increasing) - which reduces your amount of earned money again. Possibly this "fraud" is even merely a trick to make you pay just more.

They all have totally intransparent payment handling and you mostly do not even know your own customers, nor can you prove whether really fraud happened or they simply frauded you.

Don't get me wrong, you might endless sell products but get not payed in an acceptable relation - or even finally nothing. The end of the story is, that you probably sit day and night infront of your computer with working and customer support and finally do not earn anything (a fultime job for someone who has rich parents).

In my experiences, this all is kinda nice sparkeling "scam". For both: the customers and the developers. The only winners in that game are these portal owners, ripping you off to the maximum extent. My experiences also tell: you are far from being seen as a "partner" with these portals. They basically shit on you and only want your best (your money). The money you should have earned for your hard work and talent as a Flash specialist.

I think you forgot about the flashjuggler.com. I sell my stuff there to and is going pretty well. Maybe they are slower, but for me it works good. Never try the FlashScope? How they are?

Hello-- I recently purchased one of your templates and was wondering if you could help me edit the main.fla to move the locations of menu and logo. Not sure if this is best way to contact you. Sorry if not. Thanks!

Hi,

I bought the hotel xml flash template and now before I set up the xmls I would
change the color theme to red ff0000. After I opened the main.fla in the root, make my changes and then export the .swf to run the site I got in the Name left over the pics an quite wrong font. Also when I opened the main.fla in flash CS4 I have first to correct some
formatings in "Fullscreen" and "Sound" Box due there is a textline wrap.

The font Bauhaus lt BT ist installed.

What can I do?

Thanx

Jens
