New components with extra functionality added.

We have never expected that our 3 templates with a standard components set can generate so many messages, and that’s really good. We got tons of fresh ideas and some of them will be releazed soon.

So the 1st one which I especially like is a “bookmark panel component“.  This tool allows to bookmark your site to social networks like digg, technorati and so on. I think we will call it “socializer” or “make me social”.

The next idea is event planner flash component, it’s really easy to create it and I believe many of our users will find it useful.

Another cool facility for advertising is accordion image viewer component. It is supposed to be a handy tool for online presentations, sort of a substitution of the flash intros.

Yeah, speaking the devil… the intro! Another add on is interactive flash animated background(as you know you can use swf file as a background of the website). So this background will allow the customer to make a rotation of images and slogans on the back ground of the website. This will always help to promote your brand, or may be put some light on products and services you offer to your customers.

I guess it will be useful and fun. Hope you like these tools. Btw all our old media galleries components will be revised and redesigned as well. And of course all previous and next components are absolutely compatible with the xml site builder engine. Got questions? Drop me a line! Cheers!  :-)

XML flash site builder. Improved and Polished.

Ok guys, finally I have a couple of minutes to write a little post about our 2nd website built on xml site builder engine(guess it’s high time to figure out some beautiful name for the project :) ). Just like the previous skin, this template can be viewed at www.flashmint item numbers 2567 and 2563. These 2 templates used the same set of flash components, the only difference is in the menu location. We decided it would be cool if visitors could choose if they prefer upper menu or bottom menu design. But thats the only difference, in the rest the templates are completely identical. Here is the screen shot just to get the idea of the design

As I have already mentioned the site is build on the same set of flash components as a pevious version, but there is a slight difference. Now image gallery, video gallery and image rotator component track if they are used as a stanalone application or as a part of the website. If they are loaded into the website the “fullscreen” and “autoplay” buttons are displayed not within the component itself, but within the footer of the template which seems to be more harmonic(though it seems only to our designer :D ). As you see the components became smarter.

KeenBusiness Project is almost finished.

In this article I would like to tell you about our new CMS project named KeenBusiness. When we started the development our main goal was to create flash website with wide range of features including but not limited to multifunction product catalogs, rich formatted content pages, ecommerce functions, flash blogging features and much more. All this is supposed to be backed up by easy and intuitive CMS and strong Search Engine Optimization features. The project is oriented on small and medium business.

One of the main advantages of KeenBusiness engine is powerful customization tool. We supply graphics libraries of each element used in the site, so the customer or the developer can edit every banner, link, button, text block, background or menu item having at least basic knowledge of flash animation, no ActionScript knowledge is required.

Modular structure allows to create new components and integrate them easily into the project.

Deep linking gives the webmasters additional tools for SEO and website promotion

Flexible structure allows to create unlimited number of pages, image/audio/video galleris, text pages, ecommerce catalogs.

Built in flash blog module allows to create online communities, share your news and events.

Currently we define the following types of possible content:

1. Simple text page with integrated HTML formatted text

2. Newsletter page

3. Blog page

4. Contact form page

5. Gallery Page(images/videos/audio)

6. Slideshow/Presentation Page

7. Combinations of all pages listed above

Other useful features are dynamic vertical resizing(depending upon content block height), simplified ecommerce tools, advanced music player, image manipulation tools, multilingual support.

1st site builder is on line ;-)

Ok, so we’ve launched our 1st site builder online, you can take a look at it here http://www.flashmint.com/show-template-2521.html

There was a bug with the main menu color scheme, now it is fixed successfully. In the video gallery we recommend to use video files with the length more than 10 sec. Current buffering settings are equal to 10 sec, thus to avoid problems with the loader we recommend to add videos longer than 10 sec. Though if requred this can be modified by the customer in the video component tool. So guys, please take a look and if you have any questions you may contact me right away.
